Partnering with schools to secure funding that supports students, programs, and communities across Hawaiʻi.
Our mission
Hawai’i Grants Alliance supports schools across Hawai’i by securing funding for programs that enrich the academic, social and emotional development of our keiki. We believe every school deserves access to the resources needed to help students thrive.
Independent schools

who we serve
faith-based schools
Partnering with mission-driven schools to align funding opportunities with their values and goals.
Hawai’i Grants Alliance (HGA) was established in 2025 to address a critical and persistent gap in Hawaii’s education landscape: limited access to grant funding for small and mid-sized independent schools serving students and families across the state. While these schools play an essential role in supporting educational choice, cultural relevance, and student success, many lack the staff capacity, time, funding and technical expertise needed to pursue competitive grant opportunities. Hawai’i Grants Alliance was created to close this gap by providing centralized, high-quality grant research, writing, and compliance support while minimizing cost and eliminating risk to school of Hawai’i.
schools with limited grant capacity
Helping schools that do not have in-house grant writers access funding opportunities they might otherwise miss.
what we do
Hawai’i Grants Alliance provides comprehensive grant support to schools across the islands. Our goal is to make funding accessible, strategic, and impactful by removing barriers. We cover the upfront cost of grant writing for independent schools, eliminating financial risk and allowing schools to focus on what they do best. Here are the steps we will take together:
Grant research and needs analysis
Proposal development and submission
Alignment of funding opportunities with school needs
Guidance on compliance and reporting
Ongoing support throughout the grant lifecycle
